The most prominent of these provisions are:

Tanween provisions:

The provisions of Tanween are four provisions, including Izhar, Idgham, Iqlab, and Ikhfaa.

  1. Izhar:

Simply put, Izhar is to pronounce the nun or tanween as it is, and it is more correct to ask: When is Izhar obligatory? Izhar is obligatory if the nūn or tanween comes after the following letters: (hamza – ha – kha – ain – ghayn – ha).

  1. Idgham:

Idgham occurs when the nūn or tanween is not apparent in the pronunciation.

There are two types of Idgham: idgham with a ghunna and idgham without a ghunna.

As for idgham with a ghunna, it is what is followed by the following letters, (Ya-Nun-Mim-Waw) and idgham without a ghunna is idgham that is followed by the following letters: (Raa-Lam)

  1. Iqlafb:

Literally, iqlab is the conversion of a letter into another letter, this happens if the letter Ba comes after the letter Noun, such as Sakinah or Tanween, In that case, the Tanween or Nun is changed to Meem.

  1. Ikhfaa:

In this ruling, the tanween or sakina nun is spoken between the dhahar and the assimilation without, the ghanna is equal to two vowels, and the sakina nun and the tanween are concealed if the letters (taa – thaa – jim – dal – dhaal – zai – syen – sheen – zad – dhaad) come after it. (Ta, Daa, Faa, Qaf, and Kaf).
