Successful Quran memorization requires a balance between learning new verses and maintaining earlier memorization. A commonly used Hifz practice framework divides study into three parts. This is an example for planning—not a promised completion time or a fixed Eilaf timetable.
- Sabaq: memorize a manageable new passage and check your recitation for accuracy.
- Sabqi: repeat verses memorized recently so new learning does not replace previous progress.
- Manzil: revisit older memorized portions regularly to strengthen long-term retention.
