Tips to Choose the Right Online Ijazah Course or Teacher

  • Verify the credentials: Ensure the instructor has an Ijazah with a clear Isnad (chain of narration).
  • Look for Al-Azhar certified teachers: This guarantees scholarly authenticity.
  • Opt for personalized one-on-one sessions: It ensures better correction and faster progress.
  • Seek flexibility: Choose a course that fits your schedule and offers online access.
  • Read testimonials or reviews: A top-rated online Quran Ijazah program with an isnad is a strong indicator of quality.
  • Understand your goal: Whether you’re aiming to recite, memorize, or teach, pick the track that aligns with your objective.

Choosing the Right Quran Ijazah Path

An online Quran Ijazah is not the same as a general beginner Quran course or an ordinary completion certificate. Before enrolling, clarify the specific Ijazah type, recitation standard and assessment requirements with the qualified teacher.

  • Recitation Ijazah: Ask whether the intended pathway involves a complete assessed recitation and which Qira’ah or Riwayah is taught.
  • Memorization Ijazah: Ask how memorized portions are tested and whether the teacher requires full memorization for the particular authorization.
  • Teacher and Sanad: Request details of the issuing teacher’s qualifications and the transmission chain relevant to the planned authorization.
  • Eligibility: Clarify the expected Arabic reading level, Tajweed proficiency, revision and assessment arrangements before choosing a track.

See Quran recitation with Tajweed for foundational recitation study, or Quran memorization classes for Hifz preparation. Book a trial to ask which pathway matches your current level.
